The price of food goes up and the price of electricity and gas goes down in Tarragona
Prices have fallen by more than one and a half points in the counties of Tarragona and Terres de l'Ebre, and the year-on-year CPI falls below two digits to stand at 9.3% this past September, according to data from the CPI made public this Friday by the INE.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages have risen in price again and are already 15.3% more expensive than last year. On the other hand, housing, water, gas and electricity fell by 5.8 points compared to the record figures for the summer, but prices are still 16.8% higher.
The same has happened with transport, with a slight decrease in prices (0.9) that maintains an annual CPI of 10.7%. Only textiles and communications have become cheaper compared to last September.
In the regions of Camp de Tarragona and Terres de l'Ebre, the price index in the hotel and restaurant sector has also increased by 6.9% and furniture and household and maintenance items by 7.1% of home.
