The Government guarantees Hard Rock on the Costa Daurada
The spokeswoman for the Government of the Generalitat, Patrícia Plaja, stated this Tuesday that the Hard Rock macro-complex that is planned to be built in the municipalities of Vila-seca and Salou, "will go ahead" complying with all the requirements.
Plaja has said that "it will be done (Hard Rock) and it will be done well". In the press conference after the usual weekly meeting of the Executive Council, Plaja insisted that the project "will continue to advance", although reformulated, after the Department of Climate Action has issued an unfavorable report on the latest version of the modification of the urban master plan (PDU) for not meeting the environmental requirements.
“The project will go ahead meeting and respecting all the necessary conditions”, especially the “environmental and safety criteria”, said the spokeswoman. "We will continue to move forward but only with the go-ahead and all favorable reports. It will be done and it will be done well », she has resolved, fulfilling the requirements that « any project must meet », Plaja has remarked in her intervention.
The modification of the Urban Master Plan, which was initially approved in February, does not meet the environmental requirements on two issues, according to the opinion of Acció Climàtica.
On the one hand, it does not guarantee ecological connectivity and, on the other, it does not specify the measures to be carried out to carry out environmental compensation.
Once this report is known, which is mandatory so that the work can continue, the department headed by the Minister Teresa Jordà and the new team of the General Directorate of Urban Planning, which depends on the Ministry of Territory, will begin negotiations to introduce the changes necessary.
