Salou will freeze taxes for 2023

The municipal government of Salou will freeze taxes and fees, for this coming 2023, for the third consecutive year. This has been announced in a statement by the current government team. The real estate tax is not increased; the tax on constructions, installations and works; the rate of urban licenses and other activities; the fee for processing the opening of activities and provision of control services by the facilities; nor the rate for collection, treatment and disposal of waste.

This measure will go through a plenary session this Wednesday, October 26, for approval.

The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, has stated that "our will is not to increase the tax burden of citizens, at this time when the people of Salou must face the current situation." In this way, "from the municipal government, we are sensitive to the recovery of family economies and economic sectors."

For his part, the Councilor for Economic Management and Finance, Yeray Moreno, explained that "despite the disproportionate rise in the CPI, we believe that a technical and political exercise of efficiency and effectiveness should be carried out to offer the same services, or improve them, without a direct affectation to the economy of our citizens.
