Salou celebrates the Pilar with the Aragonese community
The Aragonese Cultural Association of Salou, with the collaboration of the City Council, has celebrated, today, Wednesday, October 12, the Fiestas del Pilar 2022, which have been attended by some 650 people.
At 9:30 am, the offering of flowers to the Virgin has begun, in the Sant Ramon Church; followed by the Aragonese Mass, with the participation of the "Jaume I" group, from the Salouense entity.
Mayor Pere Granados attended; the Councilor for Cultural Services, Xavier Montalà; the councilor and vice-president of the Aragonese Cultural Association of Salou, Pedro Madrona; as well as mayors of the Corporation; the chief inspector of the Salou Local Police; and representatives of the Civil Guard and Mossos d'Esquadra; among others.
Once the liturgical ceremony is over, the round has taken place, from the same church, and until reaching the headquarters of the Aragonese Association of Salou, with the interpretation of jotas rondaderas, by the group «Jaume I». The tasting of the wine of honor has also been carried out; and a meal.
Likewise, yesterday, Tuesday, October 11, a guiñote Championship was held.
