Neighborhood protest for the delay in care at CAP La Granja
The residents of Ponent have eloquently reflected today their outrage at the health treatment they receive. In today's edition of the Diari, on paper and also in its digital version, the inadmissible waiting time of CAP La Granja users when they require a medical service was reflected.
The protest has brought together some 40 elderly people who have gathered shortly before 11 a.m. this morning at the doors of this facility managed by the Institu Català de la Salut (ICS) to show their rejection and present their complaints to the managers of a waiting time that far exceeds the estimate (it should be between 3 days and 2 weeks), a delay that has become visible in CAP La Granja, but that is extensible to a large number of public health facilities in the city , as the Col·legi de Metges itself has admitted.
The protest took place without incident and respecting both the CAP morning shift professionals and the users who were there. Two Mossos patrols have appeared there to act in the event of an incident, but their intervention has not been necessary, since there has been no action by the protesters that deserved their attention.
There have been parliaments and criticism of the public health system and the banners and posters that have been taken to the protest act reflected this feeling of impotence and indignation of the users of the CAP in this neighborhood of Ponent.
