Nearly 80 artists turn to the Charity Gala against cancer in Salou
Nearly 80 artists from all over the province will gather this Saturday, November 19, at the eleventh edition of the Charity Gala of the Dr. Amadeu Pelegrí Oncology Association, which is held at the Teatre Auditori in Salou (9:00 p.m.). This is the main event organized by the entity to raise funds for research against cancer and one of the most important solidarity acts of the year on the Costa Daurada. All of them will altruistically participate in a multidisciplinary show that will feature live music, acrobatic shows, magic, dance and lots of humor.
“It is the most important act we do. It is a gala to collaborate with the investigation, but also to thank all the work that the members and volunteers do throughout the year”, says the president of the association, Vicente Vílchez. Last year, on the return of the gala after the stoppage forced by the pandemic, they managed to raise more than 6,300 euros. «This year we have already been able to fully recover normality with the celebration of all the events, which have been quite successful. There is more and more follow-up and that is appreciated, ”explains Vicente.
We take off! Fasten seat belts is the title of this year's gala, which will turn the TAS into an international airport and will emulate a trip around the world with stops at each function. The actor and comedian from Salou Miquel Mora is in charge of directing the show, which will once again have the journalist Ricard Checa as master of ceremonies.

This Saturday's appointment will also serve to publicize some of the projects with which the entity from Salou collaborates, including the fight against childhood cancer. In this sense, at the entrance to the theater there will be a stop with commercialization of the association that will include the Langers, the doll that has been devised to help research Langerhans cell histiocytosis, a rare type of childhood cancer.
300 tickets sold
As pointed out by the association, ticket sales are going at a good pace and at this point some 300 have already been sold. Tickets can be purchased in advance until tomorrow at the usual points of sale or through Bizum (phone 660484361 ), at the price of 12 euros, or the same Saturday at the TAS box office, for 15 euros. For all the people who want to collaborate and cannot attend the gala, the organizers have also arranged a Row 0.
The proceeds will go entirely to the research projects of the San Juan de Dios hospital in Barcelona, San Juan de Reus and Santa Tecla, with which the Oncology Association dr. Amadeo Pilgrim.
