Family fun with chestnuts and panellets in Salou

Salou is living a bridge of Tots Sants at full capacity. Tourism is booming and the streets are full of people thanks, among other things, to initiatives such as Salouween – with passages of terror for children and adults in the Masia Catalana and stalls with gastronomic offers on Paseo Jaume I – or the Festa del 30 d'Octubre, which coincided with a very busy weekend.

This morning, the good atmosphere has moved to Carrillet square, with the Panellet Festival, workshops, inflatables, chestnuts, wooden games and snacks. Families with children came to prepare these typical sweets of these dates, made with almonds and sugar, as basic ingredients. The boys and girls kneaded them and made fun creations that they took home to bake in their ovens.

They also enjoyed a workshop to make a cut-out chestnut; wooden games workshops and ingenuity games. Rocky and the Confetina livened up the day.

At 12 noon it was time to taste the vermouth, with potatoes, olives and soft drinks; and, to say goodbye to the morning, balloons with the Club Xic'S logo and the Department of Children's Department were distributed among the little ones.

In the afternoon the Zombie Parade took place, from Plaza del Carrilet itself to Paseo Jaume I with people dressed up along the way; and a makeup marathon for attendees. The most terrifying celebration of the year continues this Tuesday, at the Teatre Auditori de Salou (TAS), with the performance of the play fear panic 13under the direction of Cristina Muñoz, at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free and limited capacity. The activity is for young people from 14 years old.
