The high-speed trains AVE and AVLO of Renfe and Ouigo of SNCF with origin or destination in the Madrid Puerta de Atocha station that have been seen affected for two hours by a breakdown in said terminal they begin to gradually recover their usual schedules.
The incident caused the interruption of traffic on all high-speed lines around 1:00 p.m. and the trains had to be detained in stations near Madrid, while those who had to leave the capital continued to be stationed in Atocha.
At 2:40 p.m., the Adif technicians finished the repair work on the fault that affected the electrification system at the Madrid station, according to Renfe sources.
Since 12:40 p.m., when the breakdown occurred in the facilities, Renfe has reported it through all its communication and customer service channels, both in stations and on trains.
For affected travelers, Renfe will apply its punctuality commitment.
