Spain will send next Friday two planes with a first shipment of offensive military material to Ukraine, which includes 1,370 anti-tank grenade launchers, 700,000 cartridges for rifles and machine guns, as well as light machine guns.
In an interview on Antena 3, the Defense Minister, Margarita Robles, detailed this first shipment that will arrive in Polandto a point very close to the Ukrainian border in two planes.

In this regard, he referred to Ukraine’s right to “self defense” in the face of an invasion and a war that entails increasing bombing of its territory, which is why the Government has understood, has remarked, that it was time to contribute with offensive weapons.
Also, the minister has reaffirmed Spain’s commitment to the unity of all European countries in the face of an “unacceptable massacre” against Ukraine and its citizens.E
